As an advocacy group, WHOA! has developed or championed local horse causes including:the Folger Stable Committee to protect and restore the Folger Barn in Wunderlich Park; the Junior Riders Program for children of the Woodside Fire Protection District; publication and distribution of informational leaflet: Woodside is Horse Country; planning and organization of the Woodside Day of the Horse; and creation of the WHOA! the Hall of Fame Award for contribution to the equestrian community
