Day of the Horse - October 11, 2008 (2nd Saturday in October)

The Day of the Horse is an opportunity for the general public and equestrians to collectively celebrate The Horse, its heritage and legacy in shaping the character of Woodside, and the many, varied ways that our lives are richer because of it. The event will educate the general public, encourage prospective riders and leave people with the understanding of how profoundly different Woodside is because of The Horse.

Preservation of Trails - More information

A major focus of WHOA! for 2008 is preservation of the equestrian trails within and connecting to the Woodside Trail System. This system, which also includes part of and connects to the Portola Valley Trail system, is unique in the region. The system connects to a number of Mid-Peninsula Open Space preserves, Huddart Park, Wunderlich Park, the San Francisco Watershed and other parks and trails in a string around the Bay Area.

Save Horse Habitat - More information

WHOA!, as an advocacy group, works with other local and regional organizations to achieve common goals. WHOA! members are active in projects in Woodside which are focused on preserving and supporting significant horse facilities, such as the Folger Stable and the Horse Park at Woodside.
